I often think back to where I was

two years ago.

I was depressed, in love,

in denial, and searching

desperately for any remedy

to any of these things.

I felt as if I had already

done what I could

I felt as if I had already

peaked

I felt as if I had already

used up every last drop of hope

and as I walked through halls

I walked and I felt as if I

knew something no one else did

as if I was wiser

as if I understood the true

depression and nihility

of life.

I knew less than anyone.

I was thirteen with the heart of a

100 year old.

it is only two years later

and I am waiting to be

born.
