Gaps

And I know distance is hard

I know it's hard because you created this gap

A gap that I didn't want

A gap that is nothing more than a puddle to you

A gap that is an ocean to me

I'm sitting on the other end of this couch

But I've never felt so far away

So I will continue to swim through this ocean

Even though you will not step across the puddle
