Ana

By Brianna Ellis

She cradles you

Emerging your soul with hers

She devours you

You're her food

You get nothing

She has many "friends"

You have few

She is what you want

And believe me, she wants you too

She is the only way it works

She is deadly

You don't care

Who needs life when you have beauty?

Or looks?

The pangs in your tummy

"You don't need it," she whispers, "Stay strong"

You sweat

You shake, and shiver, and freeze

Then you sweat again

"That's ok, it's normal"

Is it?
